There isn’t a lot to report this month.
I’ve been spending extra time with family, especially for the Thanksgiving holiday, and the upcoming holidays in December will also probably see me with less time for things I normally talk about in this blog. I’ve also been kept busy with my schooling.
Also, I got Stardew Valley earlier this year but didn’t get very far into it. I think I was about halfway through Spring of the first year of the game when I stopped playing. That’s not very far. I’m not sure why I didn’t get more into it at the time, because I’ve enjoyed Harvest Moon games in the past. I think I was just focused on other things and other games (such as Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin) at the time. But after the recent 1.1 update to Stardew Valley, I decided to try it again. I got really into it this time, and a lot of my free time this month went toward playing Stardew Valley. I got a little frustrated with how quickly the days go by in-game. I felt like I never had enough time to do all the things I wanted to do. That’s probably a part of what makes the game so addictive, and keeps you playing for “just 5 more minutes,” but I felt it was detracting enough from my enjoyment of the game, so I used a mod to make time pass by more slowly and pause completely while in houses. This resulted in a lot of time spent playing the game, but relatively little progress as far as making it through the seasons and years of the game. Now I’m about halfway through Spring on year two.
One thing that should be happening relatively soon is I should be releasing an update for Blasteroids fixing an issue that I’ve discovered since the last release. It seemed minor enough at the time that I wasn’t going to hurry it up, but with the stable release of Unity 5.5 and its new splash screen customization options, I figured I’d use the opportunity to release the fix and try out a customized splash intro.
That’s all for now. See you next month!
